INSIDE THE MAGIC OF ARARA BALL PARTY
This year, I had the joy of experiencing Arara Ball Party (Baile da Arara) — one of the most exclusive and artistic parties of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival. Set in a historic mansion in Santa Teresa, this invite-only event brings together an eclectic mix of creatives, celebrities, and cultural icons.
My inspiration for attending came from the vibrant spirit of Frida Kahlo. I imagined her energy—colorful, fearless, and full of life—and dressed in a look styled by THE PARADISE that brought that vision to life.
With camera in hand, I wandered through the night capturing raw, candid moments of joy, rhythm, and elegance. The atmosphere was surreal, a true celebration of Brazilian culture through music, costume, and connection.
Created over a decade ago by Malu Barretto and Pedro Igor Alcântara of Arara Inc., Baile da Arara has grown into a cultural ritual at the start of Carnival—blending tradition, rebellion, and exuberance in the heart of Rio.
