I remember in 1981 taking a trip to East Berlin and talking to an East German young man who pined to be on the other side of the gate and telling him to just “springen over” in my hopeless German. The contrast from one side to the other was amazing. In this photo it just looks like a stunning backdrop to this ladies fabulous red and faded blue outfit. Thanks Lee for taking me there again and doing this outfit and the place justice.
