Last week I received a package from Gloss Accessories delivered to my home. There it was, an entire week long invitation to celebrate the fabulous Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival Spring Summer 10/11. I jumped, screamed, laughed, cried and celebrated of course.
The fashion festival started on Monday night at the famous Sydney Town Hall with a very glamourous opening gala celebrating 15 years of Marie Claire Australia. Marie Claire also hosted this night and they did an amazing job. Natasha Williams (PR for Gloss Accessories) and myself prepared our best outfits for the night.
As soon I walked in I could see cameras flashing and hear great music. I was pinching myself as I scanned the room full of the who’s who of Sydney fashion. I turned to Natasha and said, “I think I just died and went straight to fashion heaven”
Not that it wasn’t good enough that I was attending almost all of the shows and being able to photograph anything, Gloss Accessories had also reserved us VIP entry (excuse me!). So there we were heading to our fabulous spot. Rosemount wines, Rosemount champagne…. Rosemount, Rosemount… What else could I ask for? I know… nothing right?
After the show I had the pleasure to meeting some other fashion bloggers. The most notable would have to of been Gala Gonzales from http://am-lul.blogspot.com/
On the runway my camera was working overtime. I was also trying to tweet at the same time but as you can imagine that really wasn’t working for me. I feel as though my photographs could have been better but that is just me critiquing myself. Lee, put down your phone and don’t get so excited. Here are some of my previews from the opening night. I hope you enjoy
My last 2 fashion posts I would like to dedicate to Vahni from gritandglamour who loves, loves this label.
