On the streets of Surry Hills…Sydney

by Lee Oliveira on June 3, 2011

Yesterday’s post was about explaining my change from Nikon to Canon. Instead of typing my reason let’s have a look at the results that my baby is giving to me right now. Walking around the streets of Sydney this week was a bit stressful. Almost everybody is wearing black but meeting Ollie made me think that miracles can happen.

top, cardigan, pants, bag, shoes and necklace are all vintage; no fragrance.

So tell me… what do you think of the new results?

I’m a Canon user as well! Idk, maybe it’s just me but I really find a hard time adjusting white balance on Nikon. πŸ˜›

On a related note, I’m sooo digging her floral pants. Quite lovely.

Hope to see more of your street fash photogs soon! xx

Stunning photo! I would love to have a professional camera but for now a rinky dink digital camera is all I can afford- one day… I love Ollie’s pants and bright cardi!

for sure you have heard of this but i have to say this still, it’s not the camera but the photographer… or something like that… it’s how you perceive the world thru your lens that’s important… but i have to admit i like the picture quality of canon more than nikon…

i love your edited pictures though more than the natural shots… (e.i. the red lady or lady in red i think)…

Your subject is so crisp and clear! Love the focus here. Her outfit speaks volumes on its own. The burnt orange cardigan is perfect with the sandals and pants!

Vivid colours! I’m a Canon girl too.
Also, vintage outfit wins again!
Fab photo as usual, Lee.

I love the clear and focused in the foreground and super blurry in the background. It seems to be a canon thing! Your photo is beautiful. I wish I lived near you so when everyone around you was all in black at least you’d have me to shoot in blue!

Ohhh I am not so tired of black as I am greys and beiges and “greiges”! Such boring shades of blah!

Canon!! Oh Lee… how could you? :( … :D!!!!

A beautiful subject, a beautiful photo …but… I believe it’s the tool master that creates a beautiful thing… not the tool…
