A night with Antoine+Stanley

by Lee Oliveira on December 3, 2010

A few days ago I attended the SS11 launch party of the Australian shoe brand Antoine+Stanley. I have always been a fan of their shoes as a lot of them represent that true “street style” look you know I all love. OK…. the fact that iconic Australian singing sensation Guy Sebastian would be there belting out some live tunes had nothing to do with my attendance…haha.

There were about 5 or 6 models wearing the shoes. I really wanted to steal them and take them outside on the street for some snaps but I don’t think Antoine+Stanley would invite me to anything again if I did. My second option was to capture the shoes that were hanging from the ceiling around the room. I really like the rustic affect the wall in the background gave the shots. Here are my favourites from the night.

Now girls, I know these aren’t for you but imagine your man in these. I absolutely love them and have picked out which ones I’ll be gifting myself with this Christmas.

But for my male readers…”This is shoe heaven

Thanks for the fabulous night Paul… it was great to see you.

I’m liking these a lot! Casual but still polished, perfect for any gentleman. Men are definitely hard pressed to find decent footwear in this city, so this is an amazing find!

These are beautiful, i have a thing about shoes, as does my man, and he would definatly lust over these, especially the two-tone winkle-pickers, and the snakeskin below them, divine.
Its nice to see a little something for the men! VWx

Wooow! So many nice shoes! Lucky you who got to go there and watch all of them:) *wish i could teleport myself to australia* I especially liked the blue metallic ones with matte beige fabric in the front and the back. I’m so glad i found your blog, it gives me a lot of inspiration.

Hahhaaha, oh Lee, I’m pretty sure the designers would cease to invite you if you “borrowed” their wares like that! But I can certainly understand your desire to do so. I think the way the shoes are displayed as well, very innovative.

Haha that would have been funny if you ‘borrowed’ them to take some photos outside. Wow, if I had a boyfriend I think I would want him to wear the royal blue ones, they are really cool.
