I have always been excited by things that involve fashion. I know this is going to sound like a bit of a cliché but as a child I knew I wanted to work in some area of fashion when I grew up. When I reflect back, I always had big ideas and I wanted those ideas to be of influence to myself and to others as an adult.
I have now finally found this through my love of photography and it has become a part of my daily routine. Some of you already know this who regularly read my posts or follow me on facebook and twitter. I can’t really see myself doing anything else at this point in time but who knows with life and its many different paths. I am just reacting… I react to my passion, desire, drive and I crave to learn more and more about fashion photography. So, this is who I am at this point.
As you know, most of my photographs focus on street style which is truly what I love but I wanted to experiment with my photography a little further. I was chatting with a close friend of mine, Peter from the renowned food blog, souvlaki for the soul and we wanted to do some sort of collaboration and thats how these photographs came to fruition.
We used my apartment as a studio and my very close and dear friend Sarah Camilleri who is also a professional model.
With these first 2 shots, I got inspiration from the Stepford housewives as I knew Peter could tie this in somehow to his food blog.
I also designed the top and skirt based on the theme but I really have no sewing skills so I had my good friend Nicola help me out.
I hope you like my photographs and get some sort of inspiration from them.
There is a second part of this photo shoot with Sarah wearing a vintage YSL suit that I will bring to you in my next post. I just wanted to keep you in suspense a little ….. hehe

Awesome! I love photography, and I like incorporating fashion into many of my pictures. These pictures are nice because they are could be categorized many ways: a portrait, a fashion photo, AND useful for a food blog. Can’t wait to see more of your stuff!

The commenter above already said it but it bears repeating, AWESOME! I also love that you can explore many aspects of fashion through your photography, and this is just wonderful. I love what she’s wearing – it screams ladylike but fun (and of course, I would never say no to anything involving food!) Look forward to more and off to check out your friend’s food blog too!
Btw, loved your comment on London, I think I’ll miss it too once I realized I won’t be there so many months each year!

This is so cool Lee! I really like seeing another side of your photography. I love Sarah’s outfit, it’s kind of Minnie Mouse meets Donna Reed. I think it’s great that you’re really pushing yourself into a new artistic realm.

Thanks for sharing this! I have a passion for the good old times, I guess I romanticize the era and I am way to nostalgic for my age.
Being into fashion comes all in one with being into photography I think.
SO i very often take out the analog camera I bought at a flea market (really oldschool!
) and take fashion pictures with it!
